Revolution Pro Supreme Matte Lip Pigment Review

Finally I have my hands on a product I have been after for months, the Revolution Pro Supreme Matte Lip Pigment - now that was a mouth full!

If you were confused like me Revolution Pro are Makeup Revolution's big sister brand, same vibe just a different brand name and products.

Onto the product, the supreme matte lip pigment is as you may have guessed a liquid lip product. The product is super pigmented, you only need one layer to get a bold colour. When applying the texture is quite creamy, it glides on effortlessly and evenly. Once on the lip the product does dry matte, however there still is a bit of moisture left. It's not as drying as a liquid lip or as creamy as a lip cream but to me a mix between the two.

The lasting power of these are great, the Revolution Beauty website claim that they 'dry down to a matte finish that doesn’t budge or smudge' and I agree. Throughout eating and drinking the colour stays put, of course it does start to fade from the inside however the overall colour does not come off or smudge. As the hours go on the lips do feel dry, so I recommend if you are going to wear this for a long day stick some lip balm underneath or a gloss on top.

The main thing I noticed whilst I was applying it was the colour, the shade was exactly the same as what was indicated on the tube. With lots of lip products the indicator shows a mauve but once applied it looks brown! With the shade I chose ‘premonition’ the colour was very true. I am eager to try some more of this lip pigments to see if the other colours are just as true!

The product comes in a staggering 30 shades and the shades are stunning. You have your classic reds and pinks but also some gorgeous trendy shades such as nudes, browns and mauves. As I mentioned above the colour I picked up is 'premonition' which is a beautiful brown mauve.

For packaging I have one word, sleek! The packaging defiantly fits in with the 'pro' vibe of Revolution Pro. With a sleek black tube it is identical to YSL's glossy stains and I think because of this it does make the product feel slightly luxury. It comes with a doe foot applicator, not too long or short making is easy to apply.

Overall at £4 you get a super pigmented product, good lasting power, and an amazing shade range to choose from. This product is a complete bargain and would highly recommend if you are a liquid lip junkie or are after something bold and long lasting!
